Blog 3- The Yellow Wallpaper- Sukhmeet Kaur

While reading the short story, " The Yellow Wallpaper" written by, Charlotte Perkins Gilman a lot of emotions and ideas were going on through my mind. Throughout the story, I somewhat felt that there was something more to the wallpaper. Maybe something that had to do with her past or that her being ill was because of the wallpaper itself. (Sometimes people are allergic, you know what I mean? :) )
But anyway, in this story the protagonist is constantly hallucinating and having a hard time coping with the yellow wallpaper in her room. Certain aspects of her life are very inspiring. Her loving husband, her sister-in-law and her baby of course. Her hallucinations probably just had to do with being ill and in such a huge home and not being able to do your regular routines. But overall, this story is a good read and a must. The author makes it very interesting by adding a lot of detail into the paragraphs of this story. :)

  1. I do agree that the yellow wallpaper was the reason why she was ill being that she constantly had hallucinations that there was shapes and pattern in the wallpaper and being that she thought there was a another women trapped.
